Who Am I?

I am not the typical chef that has spent years in Culinary School or in a professional French Kitchen. I am someone who loves to cook and is passionate about all things food! This passion of food began while watching my grandmother (affectionally known as "Gaggie") cook amazing meals for her catering business every morning. She would invite me to come cook with her and that is what I believe birthed my culinary passion. The wonderful thing that I enjoy mostly about all things related to food is the experience that accompanies food and all that it brings to the table...Fellowship, Laughter, Intense Flavor, Culture, & most importantly LOVE!!! This is what I look forward to sharing with you on this website.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT JOSEPH

Joseph Harris is a passionate home cook at heart whose focus and culinary view is to get back to basics and make elevated comfort food that's great for the heart and good for the soul. Born in 1987 and raised in Baltimore MD, Joseph had the privilege of growing up in a family that loved to cook. His culinary curiosity began at a tender age, when he would visit his grandmothers kitchen (who was a caterer) and would see her preparing meals. From that moment on, Joseph started down a path toward a tremendously successful career in the culinary world. In 2015, Joseph had the opportunity to compete on Food Networks highly anticipated new show "All Star Academy" and was mentored by Celebrity Iron Chef, Bobby Flay. Joseph came in first place, won $50,000, and now has the esteemed title of "Best Home Cook in America". Joseph has also been featured on “Guys Grocery Games”, several live cooking demos, and much more. Joseph plans to open a farm to table, all you can eat, elevated comfort food restaurant in Baltimore.
